Lt. Subhash Chandra Chawla, the founder of Quality Mineral Development Corporation (QMDC), established the organization in the late 1990s with a strong foundation in the mineral industry and a clear vision for building a quality-driven enterprise. From inception, QMDC was built on the core principles of quality, integrity, and long-term customer relationships. His leadership emphasized ethical business conduct, operational discipline, and consistent product standards, which continue to shape the company’s governance framework.
Continuing this legacy, Mr. Brajendra Kumar Chawla, son of Late Sri Subhash Chandra Chawla, has been actively involved in the silica sand business since the early 2000s and currently leads the company’s strategic direction. Under his stewardship, QMDC has pursued diversification, modernization, and structured expansion, resulting in an expanded product portfolio, a broader customer base, strengthened quality systems, and the adoption of advanced mining and processing technologies. These initiatives have reinforced QMDC’s position as a reliable, customer-focused, and industry-leading silica sand supplier in the Shankargarh–Prayagraj region.
