Quality Mineral Development Corporation was established in the late 1990s by Lt. Subhash Chandra Chawla, whose vision was to build a quality-driven enterprise grounded in integrity and long-term customer relationships. The principles he set —ethical conduct, operational discipline, and consistent product standards — continue to shape QMDC today.

Mr. Brajendra Kumar Chawla, his son, has been actively involved in the silica sand business since the early 2000s and currently leads the company's strategic direction. Under his stewardship, QMDC has diversified its product portfolio, modernised its mining and processing technology, expanded its customer base, and strengthened its quality systems — reinforcing its position as a leading silica sand supplier in the Shankargarh region.
